Back after a hugely successful
second season, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the show where everything's
made up and the points don't matter, returns for a third season.
Not a talk show, not a sitcom,
not a game show, Whose Line Is It Anyway? is a completely unique concept
to network television. Four talented actors perform completely unrehearsed
skits and games in front of a studio audience. Host Drew Carey sets the
scene, with contributions from the audience, but the actors rely completely
on their quick wit and improvisational skills. It's genuinely improvised,
so anything can happen - and often does. Along with Carey, Ryan Stiles
(The Drew Carey Show), Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady and a rotating roster
of actor/comedians improvise their way through the half-hour of non-stop
laughs. Recurring performers include Greg Proops, Brad Sherwood and Chip
Esten. The Whose Line Is It Anyway? band is comprised of keyboardist Laura
Hall, guitarist Linda Taylor and other guest musicians. They spontaneously
provide a dazzling array of musical styles, which are often required in
a sketch (e.g., a song about plumbers, which must be sung to a reggae beat).
